“The basics of sailing“ course is designed for anyone who've always, whether because of other people's tales, or simply by watching “the lucky ones“, felt that the wind, the sails and the sea can provide unique satisfaction, a satisfaction that cannot be described by words, but needs to be experienced in person. The power of the wind, the perfect simplicity of the sails and the unpredictability of the sea bring us back to a forgotten, but primal relationship with nature. A feeling of a renewed bond with nature makes sailing so enchanting, becoming a part of life we cannot wait to return to.
Content of the course: adapting to the wind, the sea and to life on a sailboat, learning the basic techniques of sailing and understanding the basics of nautical conduct at sea.

Age: sailing course for adults (from 16 years of age only with parental permission). However, if accompanied by one parent at least , children from 8 - 16 years may participate, in which case, in periods from 23.03. - 05.05. and 30.09. - 31.10. they pay 60% of the price, and rest of the year 50% of the price.
Knowledge after the course: steering, sail handling, participation in daily routine work on the boat.

Program of the basic sailing course:
- Safety at sea and ship
- Terminology - basic points of sailing (close hauling, reaching, broad reaching, downwind)
- Port/start board side / windward / side
- What makes the boat move forward
- Positions of crew members
- Using a nautical map and celestial navigation - basics
- Sails and trimming of sails
- Reefing of the sails
- Sailing in course
- Avoiding collisions at the sea
- Tack, gybe
- Anchoring
- Apparent wind
- Meteorology – wind, compass rosse
- Knots
- Radiotelephony–safety
Equipment: rain jacket, rain trousers (winter time), sailing gloves (like the one for bike – no „fingers“), double shoes (sailing shoes or sneakers), T-shirts, shirts with long sleeves, short and long pants, sun protecting cream, cap, towels for the sea and personal hygiene, swimsuit.
Arrival: Saturday at 18.00
Start of the course: Sunday morning
End of the course: Thursday evening
Departure is scheduled for Thursday evening or Friday morning.
The price includes:
Program execution, script, fuel, VAT. Accommodation on board optional 34 EUR per person.
Additional costs:
Meals for the student (and the instructor in cruise programs), other marinas fees, accommodation on the land, tourist tax, (1.-€ per person per day), arrival and departure costs, parking fee.
NOTE: for larger groups, upon request, alternative dates for all courses are possible.
